The scope or selling point of a particular product usually depends on the number of hits, good reviews, popularity, brand name and other subtle factors as well and one rogue comment or a bad review can have a crippling effect if not devastating to the entire range of products.
Like a ripple in the water, the bad review spreads and causes a sudden and massive drop in sales, both online and in real time. The company have to take extreme caution that such an incident never occurs.
